The visit at Tenuta San Francesco starts with a tour of their wonderful vineyards. Here you will be explained in detail the history of the land and can admire the Tintore, the local ultra-centenary grape variety that was able to resist phylloxera, whose branches cover the entire area. The visit continues in the winery, where particular attention will be given to the barrique cellar and bottling room: you will discover the whole process of wine making, from the vineyard to the bottle. After the theoretical phase, we will pass to the tasting of the labels. The tour at the Montevetrano winery starts the moment we depart. An accurate description of the history of this famous winery will be told during the journey. The vineyards are in San Cipriano Picentino, in a former Bourbons' estate on the crest of a hill among oaks, chestnuts, hazelnut trees, citrus grove and olive trees. Once there, we will move towards the vineyards and show you the 3 varieties of vines planted: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Aglianico. After the visit, we will go back to the cellar, located inside a marvelous castle dating back to the eighteenth century. The tour begins with a walk through the characteristic vineyards that surround the village of Furore. The natural and pedoclimatic conditions make cultivation on this land uncomfortable, which is why we can speak of “heroic viticulture”. The visit continues in the winery: here you will see the tinaia, where the processes of the harvest take place after the vintage and the fermentation of the grapes, and the wine cellar, where the wine is aged in barriques and it is labeled. The barrique cellar is completely carved into the rock. At the end of the visit, we will move to “Bacco” restaurant, offering menus prepared with typical seasonal products. All dishes are served with wines from Marisa Cuomo winery. For those who choose to book the transfer with us, the tour at the Aroma winery starts even before the arrival as a description of the territory and the philosophy of Raffaele Noviello, owner and oenologist of the structure, will be told during the journey that will take us to Irpinia. Once in Montefalcione, the town where the winery is located, we will move towards the vineyards and show you the characteristics of the area. Together with the winemaker and owner Raffaele, we will explain all the steps leading to the final result of an excellent wine. Small tastings of the wines directly from the tanks and barriques will be offered: this will give you the opportunity to perceive the evolution of the scents that the same wines acquire after the maturation in bottle. The tour at the Tagliafierro winery starts with a visit to the vineyards, including the Tintore, the native vine famous of this area. Soon after we will visit the cellar. Being a small family-run winery, it will be nice and fascinating to see the daily rhythm of the family who takes care of their property. After the tour of the barrel cellar and a quick visit to the other vineyards adjacent to the property, it will be time for lunch inside the cellar, where the wines of the Tagliafierro winery will be paired with the menu made with typical products.
